Life’s trials can take you to places you’ve never been before…
…and places that you don’t want to revisit.
I’m talking about a life of depression, anxiety, and stress. You’ve tried to pull yourself out of this dark place but to no avail.
Choose not to suffer any longer – it’s time to invest in yourself.
Let me help you move to a brighter place.
What my work offers you
I give you my full attention.
I want you to know I will hear your heart, and I take confidentiality very seriously. Feel free to say what you need to say; I will not judge you.
I’m here to help with directions and accountability to get you back on your track.
Using my expertise and your desire to change, you’ll gain the momentum to move forward.
I grew up in a small town in the Delta in Arkansas.
I had a great childhood, and as a child, I would walk the county road helping the elderly – they either did not have children of their own, or lived alone with family living in another state.
So, at an early age, I was committed and dedicated to serving people.
I married at 19. My husband at that time became a minister and eventually a pastor. I was a pastor’s wife for over 20 years and encountered many hurting people, young and old.
I have a genuine love and concern for others.
During 27 years of marriage, I had two children, a son and a daughter.
I received my bachelor’s in Psychology, and at present, I’m a Clinical Mental Health intern working towards my master’s degree.
When I talk about life’s trials, it’s from my personal experiences.
In November 2004, I lost my father, and in 2005, I lost a close friend. Then in 2006, my marriage of 27 years ended.
I was in a dark place of depression, anxiety, and anger until I decided to seek therapy for myself.
In doing so, I was able to keep moving.
None of us are exempt from pain
It was my faith, determination, and my therapist that got me moving again. And now, I’m in a great place in my life.
Even though there will be more difficult life circumstances, you can make it through and be a better person from it.
I would say to myself “It is what it is, I have to keep moving!” and I kept moving a little farther.
I want to help people realize they can get back on track after a derailed life.
My goal is to help them see how they got there, how not to stay there, and how to not go back there.
Fun facts about me
I love to fish but hate to clean them.
I still try to play basketball at the age of 55 years old. My mind tells me I can make a move, but my body says I better not!
I would love to travel but hate to fly.
